Sergeant Sarah Lewis has proudly served with the Georgetown Police Department since 2013. Prior to her law enforcement career, she gained valuable experience working in Emergency Medical Services and pharmaceutical research.

During her time with GPD, Sergeant Lewis has served in a variety of roles, including patrol officer, field training officer, and member of the traffic unit. She later transitioned to digital forensics, where she worked as a detective before promoting to her current role as a patrol sergeant.

In addition to her primary duties, Sergeant Lewis has contributed to several specialized teams. She has served as a hostage negotiator with the Central Texas Regional SWAT Team and was a member of the Accident Investigations Team. She also continues to serve on the GPD Honor Guard, a position she has held for over ten years with great pride.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Sergeant Lewis enjoys spending time at her family’s ranch and is actively involved in veteran-related causes.
